Ph.D Student, School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Yale University
B.A. Chemistry and Geology, Middlebury College
Lauren is a first year Ph.D. student working with Dr. Julie Zimmerman. She is from Montclair, New Jersey and completed her bachelor’s degree with a double major in chemistry and geology at Middlebury College. Following graduation, she spent a year as a researcher with Dartmouth’s Toxic Metals Superfund Research Program. Lauren’s research interests broadly focus on the behavior of man-made chemical pollutants in natural systems. She hopes to design novel remediation techniques that are inherently less toxic, more efficient, and more cost effective.
