High School

We’ve developed curriculum for high school chemistry, biology, and environmental science classrooms (and beyond!) to introduce these concepts of green chemistry and sustainable chemical design. The underlying scientific concepts in these materials are relevant to STEM education and are presented in accordance with The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The overall goal of this educational outreach is to engage students and teachers at the high school level with educational activities that will aid dissemination of scientific principles relevant to the design of safer, next-generation molecules.

Integrating MoDRN Modules into existing high school lesson plans will allow students to make more connections between the scientific topics of study and the problems that they face in daily life. By presenting inquiry-based learning opportunities, students can lead their own discoveries, promoting STEM education and critical analysis of the world around them.

For Teachers

The MoDRN Team has developed curriculum for high school chemistry, biology, and environmental science classrooms (and beyond!) to introduce these concepts of green chemistry and sustainable chemical design. These are called MoDRN Modules. The underlying scientific concepts in these MoDRN Modules are relevant to STEM education and are presented in accordance with The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
