Daniele Cespi was born in Tolentino, a little town near the italian east coast. He attended his Bachelor degree at the University of Bologna, Rimini Campus. He majored in Chemical Technologies for Environmental and Waste Management discussing a thesis on elemental analysis of mixed hexacyanoferrates.
Then he moved to Bologna to complete his Master degree in Industrial Chemistry. Here he started to investigate the use of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, discussing a thesis about the application of LCA to the domestic heating sector.
Currently he is at the last year of his PhD progam at Bologna University. His research concerns mainly the environmental assessment of the industrial chemical processes in a life cycle perspective, focusing attention on much more sustainable alternative routes.
In 2014 he joined the Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering as a Visiting Assistant in Research (VAR) with the objective to investigate biorefineries sector, under the supervision of the Professor Paul Anastas and of the Dr. Evan Beach.< Back to Students
