Chun-Chi Chen is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Julie Zimmerman's lab. He is currently investigating optimization of transesterification in supercritical system with heterogeneous catalysts for sustainable biodiesel production. He completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. His dissertation work focused on applying alternative fuel technologies for improving energy efficiency and reducing toxicity of pollutants (e.g., PAHs, PCDD/Fs) by bio-fuel and emulsified fuel. Before joining Dr. Zimmerman's group, Chun-Chi was a postdoctoral associate in Institute of Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, studied energy and environmental applications of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
