Prof. Paul Anastas receives the EPA Lifetime Achievement Award

Prof. Paul Anastas has received the EPA Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in green chemistry which he cofounded and catapulted forward in the last 25 years. The award is given to individuals who have achieved on-the-ground environmental successes across sectors by protecting human health and the environment. In addition to the health and environmental benefits, Prof Anastas’ work contributed to new products, processes, patents and start-up businesses. Because of Prof. Anastas, new drugs, safer technologies and products are entering markets. Academic programs in dozens of countries, research networks worldwide, scientific journals, thousands of published papers, and numerous small businesses, courses and books are devoted to the topic.
