B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics, Bloomsburg University

Dr. Barry Husowitzis an associate research scientist within the group. He received his PhD from the University of Arizona where he modeled various phase phenomenon using classical Density Functional Theory (DFT). Most recently, he was a postdoctoral research scientist at the University of Massachusetts where he developed coarse grained models and used Monte Carlo methods to examine the morphology of polymers melts. His current interest is in developing and applying computational methods to help in the design of chemicals which are safer for the environment.
