Azadeh is a postdoctoral fellow who joined the Center in 2011 and has a postdoctoral fellowship from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). She worked on “development of biodegradable plasticizers” for her PhD project and “application of cell immobilized bioreactor in groundwater bioremediation” for her Master’s research. Her research interests are environmental biodegradation of chemicals and identification of the functional groups that leads to their environmental persistence. She is also interested in bioconversion of biomass waste to value added chemicals.
